Cursebreaking?

Once those words reached Alice's ears, you could tell her mind had gone into a hyper drive. She immediately straightened up, as pained as her spine was, and began furiously scribbling at her sheet of parchment, scrawling down everything that Botros said that could be of use. Gran talked about it all the time and how it was the field she HAD to go into, but really, the seventh year hadn't looked into what it truly was.

Until now. And it seemed kind of... boring.

After her fingers were aching with the effort of her work, she paused to actually survey it. All it consisted of was identifying a weak link in a chain and and translating runes and such? That was it to the great art of cursebreaking? Her grandmother wanted her to do this for the rest of her life?

Looked like Alice Fischer had just made her first decision for post-Hogwarts life ever, and it was a 'not happening.'

Runic Wards

simple wards have only one line of runes - weak spot is rune in the middle

complex wards have at least three lines of runes and form many angles together - weak spot is rune in the middle of each line
