I had purple hair before, but well.. maybe some blonde or light brown to go with my dark brown like you suggested." He was more of the wash-and-go kind of guy when it came to maintenance.. sometimes. Heh.
Right now, they were the only two here.. well, with the exception of the girl nearby. Though she seemed a little preoccupied with one of the magazines. Hmm.. Still though, in case his friend wanted things discreet, Wade lowered his voice while resting his hand on Alec's shoulder. "So.. how've you been holding up lately?" Other than the few owls passed back and forth throughout the year and the last Quidditch game, they both were due for their usual manly talks again.
It had been too long, hadn't it? Really. Alec didn't really know where the time had gone but... he wasn't going to dwell on it. He was seeing Wade now so... yeah. A grin started spreading across the eighteen year old's face as he looked at his Hair Ruffling Buddy. "You think so? Really?" Wade thought it looked shiny and of course Wade's opinion was important. Nodnod. "That does make me feel better, yeah. Thanks, mate!" Really.
Wade understood. Awesome. The two were on the same wavelength about most things so... yeah. ... Wait... WHAT?! "You had purple hair? I... when was this?" And how come the older, former Badger was only mentioning this now? ... But... then again, Wade probably didn't know about his blonde haired days. "I... yeah! Yeah, I think both would look great on your hair. It'll make the curls stand out more, yeah?"
So... more people were entering the store. The Head Boy looked past Wade and over towards... SQUINT. Who...? Girl. Girl he didn't know and another, younger, girl he didn't know. And... SQUINT. Fiery red hair. Who was THAT? ... Oh! Scary Beater girl! The one he had breathed fire on in Potions once. He knew--
"WHAT? WHO'S HOLDING SOMETHING? WHAT ARE YOU HOLDING?" Confused looks for you, Elisabeth-Potter.
