Swish and flick and "Henshu" now the finial test to see if he can slid across the floor..
Here he went and slide…… slide…. the last one he tried a little too much and he managed to bend over awkwardly. A little pain and a little "ouch" but all in all he was okay… he stood up "it worked!" he said happily and then he ended the spell with "Finite" and he was able to move again. Carefully watching the wand movement, she kept any comment to herself for the time being. He was going to try the complete spell now anyways. Oh! "It's a very good start. Try and make the transition between the twist and flick a little more fluid. Don't make your vrist so stiff." Quote:

He still thought apparating was the way to go, but he would try and do what she instructed. Hen-SHU!...HEN-shu....HEN-SHU!...hen-shu....Hen-SHU! Ian worked one the pronunciation a few more times before working the wand movement. [i]Twist and horizontal...twist and horizontal[/b] Then he raised his hand. Does it matter which direction we twist and go horizontally? He didn't want to perform a different spell when he should be gaining traction. Maybe this spell would help him to walk better. Question! She heard it. Along with seeing the raised hand. "Not particularly." she said, unconsciously twirling her wand in her hand. "Granted, right handed people vould vont to create the flick going left and lefthanded people vould vont to flick to the right, but either vay vorks fine. Votever you're comfortable vith." Quote:

The redhead first looked at her drawn wand then down at her feet, supposing she should get to practicing, especially since she never did get spells right on her first try being relatively new to casting them herself. Practicing the wand movement and incantation first would probably be more helpful. "Henshu," she said quietly to herself before drawing out the syllables to wrap her mouth around the foreign sounding word. "Hennn- shooo." Easy enough even if it did sound weird. The a twist and flick like a horizontal candy cane. Brynn moved her wand in the same manner she saw the professor minutes ago, trying that a few times before proceeding.
Now for real. Brynn did the horizontal candy cane movement, aiming at her left foot, as she said, "Henshu." Then she repeated the actions at her right shoe. Tentatively she moved her right foot forward to test it out. It didn't feel any different. She took a bigger step with her left foot, noting no difference there either. Of course not, she thought grumpily, scowling at her feet. Why couldn't anything be easy? Making her way around the class, she slowed down near one of the first years whom seemed to still be sliding. "Your vrist, Miss Rhys-Davies." she said, moving to stand by the Ravneclaw. "Loosen it up a bit. Try and make the movement a little more fluid vith a smaller twist."
Hmmkay? Yes. Practice makes perfect! With one more glance across the class, she took a peak at her watch...as well as the sun's position outside. "A few more minutes!" she called out, making her rounds back to the front of the arena. "A few more minutes and ve'll move on to something else." |
