Nodding back to Terry Ana turned her attention to what the Professor was saying. She was relieved when he reassured them that they'd be throwing dolls into the fire to test out their spell work. She'd hate to get seriously injured just to test out a spell. Ana was also relieved to hear that while the fire was real it was charmed to not cause too much injury. It wouldn't do to have little children get badly burnt just for class.

Upon gaining permission to practice the spell Ana, unlike some of her other classmates, didn't immediately go to grab a doll. Not only would it be pointless to stand there with all of them, but she also had to practice the incantation and wand movements. She could do both of those things without having a doll yet.

Ana decided to practice the wand movement first and so slid her wand from her holster before attempting to mirror the Professor's movements. A tight circle with the wand pointing upwards and then a flick at the target. Ana practiced the movement a few times until she could be certain that she was making as tight a circle as she could, her wrist crunching slightly on the last one, before she put it back away.

Now for the incantation. "GlaIncendia. GlaIncendia," Ana repeated a few times, making sure she had the incantation down, stifling a few more yawns as she did so. She might feel more alert but her body was obviously trying to prove to her that it was still tired. Oh well, not like she could seriously injure herself.

Once she felt confident Ana grabbed an effigy doll and looked around at the campfires to see which one was free for her use.
