... ALMOST. He almost slipped. One foot on the slippery floor of the room and the other still out in the corridor, Louis froze in the doorway when he felt himself just sliiiding right in. Why was the floor slippery?! Very cautiously, he brought his other foot and the rest of himself inside.

Perhaps the first dark art they'd be defending themselves from would be slippery floors?

With curious blue eyes, Louis looked around the open arena. It was oddly comforting. But he appreciated it, since he'd been a little nervous about his first Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson. "Good morning, Professor," greeted the boy as he neared the front of the room, where the professor and most students stood. The Gryffindor looked around at all the unfamiliar faces without paying much attention, but something then jumped at him -- was that grey hair on some of their heads? ... What? Okay, he obviously needed to get out of the common room more. A whole new fashion trend had started and it went right past him.
