Oh! Benjy! She was about to give a greeting, smile already in place to do so when he brought up the hair she'd been trying and failing to hide. Alexa fixed him with a rather pointed look. "I have blonde hair, I like blonde hair. Do you actually think I would do this to myself, regardless of what every other bloody idiot's doing??" No no no! Absolutely not. Lex pulled a lock loose from her bun and held it out for him to get a better look. "Not dyed, just awfully worrying."
He winced as he swatted his hand away, and pouted at her disdainfully. What did he do? He shook his hand lightly to shake the stingy away and eyed her back. What happened to the smiling happy greeting, HMM?
"Well..." He smiled at her hopefully. "I've honestly no idea. I thought it was a bit strange, but..." he scratched his own very NON-grey hair lightly, and peered at the lock she was holding out for him to see. It was clearly not of her usual golden blonde, and instead a rather dull shade of grey. And she hadn't dyed it. He rubbed the stubble on his chin, a frown etched between his eyebrows.
"So, to check I've got this, you definitely didn't do that to yourself?" He shook his head. "You shouldn't stress about your OWLs so much," he said after a while. "I mean, I know you're a Prefect and everything, but I managed okay." And no grey hairs here, see? "I'll help you study if you want. Help make up for..." well, whatever had caused him to get his hand swatted. "I've got that candy still too."
