Sander felt horrible and guilty. He had been taking up a lot of Tessa's time. Lux knew her even before he had met Tessa. It was his fault that they had raced without Lux. "I'm so so sorry, Lux. It wasn't Tessa's fault, it was mine. I'm always so competitive and I was just eager to see how fast my boat could go. " Sander tried explaining to the younger Puff.

"I can help you make the sail if you want or we both could. But if you'd rather Tessa do it, I'll go back to the castle and let you spend time together." Sander offered as an apology, even though he really didn't want to return to the castle without either of them. He stopped walking and waited to see what Lux wanted him to do.

He felt deflated and sad. All the joy he had gotten out of the race, was now gone. Especially now that he had made one of his best friends sad.
