She had wondered about that since seeing her first moving picture. Was it a special camera that did it? Or a spell?

She stepped into the seminar and smiled politely at the instructor. She knew that these kids made a habit of introducing themselves to the teachers, but that was still a little too weird for Gwen, so she waved slightly and went to choose a beanbag to sit on.

Definitely this was going to be useful. Moving pictures could help you remember what mood you'd been in at the time, or what was exciting about that moment. She could even send one home in her next letter!
