Oh. Cool. "That sounds like a funny story," Sophie gave the girl the benefit of the doubt. "Nice to meet ya properly, Mika. M'Sophie." Just for confirmation purposes. Text Cut: Brynn Quote:

And Sophie just basically confirmed that. "Good to know," she nodded. "I bet everyone wishes they were in Ravenclaw," she mused aloud. Because really, not every house could have people that got along so well with a cool Head of House. This was obviously the coolest one.
"They do." Heeeeh. Not entirely true, necessarily, but Sophie wanted Brynn to know how AWESOME it was to be a Ravenclaw and how she should be super glad to be there. People of all sorts probably DID envy Ravenclaws and want to be one of them. They were a fun bunch. Who wouldn't want that? Text Cut: Benjy Quote:

And that was when Benjy realised quite what Mo was doing with Sophie's hair. "Didn't know you were a hair expert," he said, eyes twinkling. "Could've told me last year, and stopped mine getting so mangled." CoughCough. Also, did they notice it was gone this year? The knotted, shaggy mess? Still fairly long, but back to being shiny again. Mhmm.
Did Benjy know his probably intended gentle punch actually kind of hurt? She winced ever so slightly when he did it, but resisted the urge to hold onto her arm. No showing pain. She was tough. "You'd better. We've got goals to score together." It was nice that he enjoyed flying with her. That made her smile - she had to look away, though, because she didn't know how to respond to such an unexpected comment from him.
He was sweet. Sophie hoped Mo would put the three of them as starting Chasers this term. They'd be unstoppable. Text Cut: Bunz Quote:

The redhead started on the ottoman, nudging it with her foot over to the couch. "Feng shui is an ancient Chinese philosophy, you could say, of how your existence is linked to your surrounding environment. It is believed that for the best life possible, you should arrange your furniture so that you create good qi." She waved a hand. "I'm not the best explainer of these things. Ask your Head of House." She would know about this kooky (kinda true) theory.
Did the boy just snort at her? Did he have something up his nose? Annie had heard nargles lived up here... the Headmistress gave him a close look and continued rearranging.
"Well there's no guarantees that it will help you win, but it could definitely improve your chances!" And it was better than doing nothing in this Eagle nest! "Would you care to help?"
...What was the Headmistress doing there? Sophie eyed the woman as best as she could from her spot on the floor, not wanting to turn her head and possibly mess up Mo's hard work on her hair.
Seemed suspicious, though, and Sophie didn't trust the woman. She knew what feng shui was very well and couldn't see why Truebridge would be looking out for their best interest. She was a Hufflepuff, after all. Surely the woman didn't want her former house dethroned by Ravenclaw. So... what was it all about? Text Cut: Mo Quote:

Sophie did get a scowl at the suggestion that he wasn't good at braiding. Was this the thanks he got for his hard work and generosity? "I mean no need to be fancy because I don't want the other girls to get any funny ideas." But he did loose her braid and start at her temple, this time working on a coronet.
And there was the Headmistress. Mo leaned against the top of Sophie's head as the woman paced the room and began shoving their furniture around. First the chair was greatly abused as she shoved it a few inches, and then she moved on to the ottoman.
Mo moved the chair back as soon as her back was turned, with a flick of his wand.
"Headmistress," Mo called across the room as he hurriedly put his wand away. "I'd be carefully kicking the furniture around in here. Someone keeps sticking things down with a semi-permanent Sticking Charm." Usually just someone's homework or a quill, but it wasn't beyond the ken that furniture was next.
"'Course I did. You're my best friend." Her brows furrowed at that, not liking how vulnerable it sounded, so she added quickly, "And Cat. Did she show you the teddy bears I got her for her birthday?" she pressed on. "I don't think she was wild about 'em, but they were funny." A teddy bear with a mustache? And a teddy bear with a mermaid body? She was laughing again just thinking about it.
"...D'you want it now?" She drummed the gift box with her fingers to let him know what she meant. "Should I save it for later? Y'wanna open it when you're done? Or y'want me to open it for you and show you right now?" She didn't care, no matter what he decided. She was just nervous that he'd hate it. Of course, she didn't expect him to let any trace of disappointment show if he did dislike it, but... she figured she'd get an inkling anyway. She knew his mannerisms pretty well by now.
Had Mo just gotten genuinely upset with her? Or was his grumpy tone meant in jest and she wasn't reading his sense of humor well today? She cringed visibly at his words, but she cleared her throat and remarked, "They're all already jealous." Sophie hoped he'd like her blind compliment, but she continued further, "Thanks for doing this. You didn't have to." Pause. "But I'm glad you did. 'preciate it."
