Oh ho ho, if only they knew.
Once she got just past the girl she let the fire rip, getting right in the middle of the girls robes. She laughed out loud, stunned she could do that and ran away, it was like a 10x more thrilling game of tag!
So everything was good. Astrid checked her watch and saw that there was only a few last minutes to spare for this Potions class. She was going to clean up and fix her work station until...
OHMYGAWSH FIRE FIRE SHE WAS ON FIRE.
Astrid turned around and SEARCHED for the person who was responsible for it. Okay, maybe it didn't really hurt but c'moooon! She was victimized and she didn't even get a chance to breathe fire at the culprit! No faaaair. After a while searching for the culprit, she spotted her over there. That GIRL who was laughing out loud. Hmph. Rude? But anyway, it was just a joke and it did seem funny. In return, Astrid stuck her tongue out at the girl and grinned at her.
She'll get her one day. Just wait!

Taking a moment to collect herself, she analysed what it felt like and stored it away to write it down after. There wasn't much time left and she wanted to at least get to blow fire once. As the feeling built more, she could see the stream coming from her nostrils.
It seriously now or never and she was already in this far. Pulling her hand up into the path of sight, she let out the building breath and exhaled. The. Sensation as the fire left her mouth was one that she really couldn't explain. It tingled but it wasn't the cold kind if tingle that she usually accost aged with the feeling. It was warm and it tingled from far back in her throat to the very tips of her lips. "That's so strange," she laughed. It really wasn't like she had feared and her mind thought back to her first attempt at the potion previously. If she had tried that one, who knew what could have happened.
Ravenclaw girl... looked weird now. Merlin, did something go wrong? She really hoped not! After all, it was just the potion doing its magic anyway. That wasn't a bad thing. The volunteers were able to survive it so it shouldn't be different for the others.
Euuuugh. It did look awful. Steam coming out of people's nostrils wasn't a good sight. It would've been some funny sight to Astrid but, well, there was no point finding something awful really entertaining. She was so thankful that her potion wore off already.
AND THERE WAS FIRE. Astrid felt the tingly feeling that came with it. It wasn't actually that bad as she expected. In fact, it made her laugh a little bit because it seemed like the fire was tickling her even if it wasn't that strong. HEHEHEHEHE. Warm and tingly. Hmmm. At least she wouldn't be burned alive. Strange? Astrid didn't really think it was strange, but it was something new. So probably it was just different. "
Sort of, but at least you can be a dragon for a few minutes!" That was a bright side, right?
