SPOILER!!: prof 1
Cosgrach walked to the girl to hear her better as she asked her question, and he peeked at her cauldron to make sure she was doing it right.
...no. "You stirred seven times clockwise, instead of counter clockwise," he pointed out to her. He wasn't going to vanish her potion, but she could probably guess it was going to be slightly different than the others'. He didn't make any further comment on it, though, so that was her cue to keep going.
"Because we want it to tickle before anything else," he said. Anything else?
"Last two steps, everyone. Please add 8 drops of salamander blood. Alternate between two stirs counter-clock wise, two stirs clock-wise. Repeat that for four times, so in the end, you should have stirred for 16 times in total. Once done with stirring, the potion should be dark blue like a night sky. If it is so, you potion is ready." He grinned at them excitedly. They had made it!
"Those who don't want to volunteer may add flobberworm’s mucus to keep it in their mouths better--it will solidify the potion. It's up to you how much or if, really, but don't add more than a tablespoon of it, and it's not my responsibility if you don't add and swallow some while breathing." So he was warning them. The rest was their responsibility.

WHAT! Sarah tried to think back... she never recalled doing it wrong. Should she start again? She didn't know. The professor did not make a big deal of it. Maybe he wanted her to try it anyway. Does that mean it was not dangerous? The professor sort of endorsed it... so even cautious Sarah thought it was okay. She nodded silently and went back to her brew. Time to add the blood... one drop, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8... time to stir. This time Sarah made sure to concentrate when she did the stirring. It seemed alright and her potion had turned blue. Time to add the mucus...
She was done

Sarah divided her brew into two... now she was ready for the scary! part. Sarah took some of the potion.. Suddenly her mouth was on fire... There was a ticking feeling in her... oesophegus... EEK! She was on fire.
"can I be used as a light source now?" she asked the professor, trying not to let her voice betray her fear.
