Robin nodded thoughtfully as the professor explained the difference between salamander blood and regular healing potions. It made sense now that she thought about it- she hadn't though that a salamander of all things would be closely related enough to a dragon to do this kind of thing but she smiled, she was getting it slowly.
She quickly wrote down the next step on her parchment and,after pausing to remember what the word homogeneous meant, added the powdered feathers in, stirring clockwise until it looked all mixed in. She turned the burner on high and put her gloves on, picking the fungus up and plopping it into the mortar. She was still nervous about the fire thing- it wouldn't explode right? She also really didn't want it to stick on her hands- she would probably cry if it did... She crushed them in the mortar and added the water and mixed it up.
She probably added it too carefully to be honest, she looked like she was making a nuclear bomb or something the way she slowly poured it in. She was scared silly.
