"Likewise, Ava." And then her next remark caused him to future his brows. Was she Muggleborn? "But... do you mean this is your first time to Hogwarts? Or did you just find out you're a witch?" He wasn't bovvered either way but he needed the deets.
"I'm new to Hogwarts. "
Cool, he was sorta nice. Still grinning, which was a little strange, but nice. Some boys weren't so that was a surprise.
"Actually..." she started to speak then looked up suddenly, unsure of how to go on. If she told him that she was practically BORN at Hogwarts, he might ask her questions or want her to explain. As nice of a surprise as it was to find a friendly person on the train, she certainly didn't feel comfortable enough with him to have such a personal conversation. Out of the question!
"I just meant "new" as in this will be my first year at Hogwarts," she replied. "I've known I was a witch all of my life," she added. "This whole
train thing is a bit overwhelming though. I didn't think I would have to ride alone."
"New, really?!" she asked. "Are you a first year too?"
