Mariel had watched her patronus disappear, hoping that it would quickly get to the right place and send help promptly. She wasn't a fan of small, enclosed spaces, especially when she felt they could drop to their demise at any moment. Hearing the mystery man's voice, she glanced up at him, smiling a bit demurely. "Yes, it is a jarvey," she admitted. She wasn't sure why, but it felt like something very personal to share though everyone could plainly see the animal emerge from her wand.
But she didn't have much time to think any more on it because the lift suddenly lurched, causing her to throw out her arms to steady herself. She was certain the lift was going to launch itself into a freefall, but she was pleasantly surprised when it stopped and, thank Merlin, the doors opened.
Mariel glanced again at the mystery man, nodding once graciously at his words. "Thank you.." Uh.. she hadn't exactly gotten his name, had she? Well, there would be time later for that.. she wasn't going to stay on this lift one second longer than she had to. Quickly stepping off the lift, she was met with another man, one who seemed to be trying to assess and take charge of the situation. Had he received her patronus? "Physically, yes," she answered him flatly, throwing a backward glance over her shoulder at the other occupants. "Gave us quite the scare though.." She for one was quite traumatized. Who knew what could have happened?
