Bronislava wandered over to the summer party the school was throwing. She wasn't so sure she was in the mood for celebration, but figured she might as well try to have a good time now that the competition was over and the term had come to a close, which meant she would be going home soon. She hadn't exactly been pleased with the way things had turned out but she was thankful for the fact that they'd be leaving. She was rather homesick at this point.
She had come to a skating rink of sorts and hung back for a moment, just watching the handful of people there. This might be a fun activity to get her mind off of things, she thought. Walking over to the table of wheeled shoes, she eyed them a bit distastefully. Were these shared shoes? She had no idea who might or might not have stuck their sweaty feet inside so she decided to skip those and charm her own shoes instead. Transfiguration was one of her best subjects after all.
She sat down at a bench near the edge of the rink, pulled out her wand, and quickly transfigured her shoes into a pair of roller skates. It had been a while since she had actually tried this out, let's see how balanced she'd be. Slowly, she got up and pushed herself onto the smooth surface of the rink. She felt a little wobbly but soon took longer strides as she felt more confident skating.
