Gavin glanced over at her. No signs she was internally having some kind of meltdown despite her calm exterior. Good good.

"I do have some things to finish up and make official but as I said, the job's now yours. Congratulations." And now came the tricky part. Congratulations usually came with handshakes. He was getting better at expecting these, really he was and he'd have to once again. It was his goal to one day shake someone's hand without cringing a little on the inside. So far, he was making progress, if only a little. Gavin stuck his hand out to shake hers.

"If there's nothing you'd like to discuss while you're here, I'll let you get back to your work."

It wasn't very productive of him or her to have her kept up in his office. Much too much to do and far too little time.
