Gavin was set to call to her, letting her know she could enter but the door was already being swung open.

Okay...

He peered over at the door just to confirm it really was his Secretary, otherwise he'd have to take things up with security, allowing just anyone to push his door open. "Ms. Smith, I was expecting you, come in, come in." He said with a gesture of his hands for her to enter the office. "You can have a seat, I'll be right with you." He sounded a bit distracted as he glanced over the document on his table. Just checking over a few things...adding another signature there....and there...He squinted at it once more before placing it atop the stack to the right of his desk. Right. She had a job to get back to. Couldn't keep her waiting.

"How do you feel about your job?" A fair question given the nature of this meeting.
Through the door's crack she could see Mr.Isaacs' behind his desk working on something. It was good that he didn't have guests. Something she only thought of upon knocking. Interrupting a meeting would not have been a very good gesture and she was glad she had not interrupted anything. Except maybe him writing or doing whatever he was.

At his words, she entered the office closing the door behind her then walked over to sit. All while her eyes swept the office noting the changes. Not a lot of them though but enough for her trained eye to notice them. She sat silently and patiently waited for him to finish off what he had on his hands right now.

Once he was done and turned to her, she sat straighter with a smile yet serious features on her face. The question wasn't expected. She had mainly been expecting an assignment or an errand to run. However, she didn't miss a beat and answered right away. "I have had this job for over eight years now, sir, and I do not remember not enjoying one day of it." A tiny bit of exaggeration but it was true. Why else would she have stayed. "I hope I have been doing my job like I'm supposed to." She said. Now that answered his question, right? She wondered what' was the reason behind the question but didn't ask expecting him to explain further.
