The prospect of possibly having to crack open eggs didn't seem to falter the grin that was spreading across Alec's face as he headed down to the kitchens. Why? Look at how AWESOME his apron was! It was pretty lucky that there weren't many people walking between the Hufflepuff barrels and the portrait of the fruit bowl otherwise he was sure he'd have bumped into someone and gone on to upset them. ... Tickling the pear, the boy headed into the kitchens and looked around. ... Oh? Just the Captain? Was he early then or...? And the others were coming, right? Because baking sounded like it'd be a lot of fun! ... Egg-cracking aside. And maybe this was a good opportunity to stay back and make some pancakes if he felt hungrier. Pancakes with extra honey. He hadn't made some of those in a while.
