She'd been doing the same only not this early. Yikes.
Oh no.
And now he looked nervous and she'd made him nervous because she was pouting and you know what was to blame? The hair. Stupid bed head. Ella quickly stopped pouting and bit her lip instead. Cause that prevented the pouting, you see?
His hair. Now his hair was sticking up and somehow this was oddly comforting. Because if misery loved company then it wasn't crazy to assume that bad hair liked company too, yeah? Maybe? Totally.
"That's sweet but I'll be okay. I just want to sit by the fire for a bit." And she smiled a little and did not stare at his hair. Nope.
Tobias nodded his own crazy-haired head.
"Mhmm! I've run every morning since September. Massive grounds, y'know? But I couldn't do it at home, so... yeah."
Yeeeaaahhh...
"Okay," Tobias nodded yet again, also starting to bounce on his toes again, because the running never tired him out for long. He held back from insisting that Ella should definitely go to the Hospital Wing if she still felt unwell, 'cause magic could fix things like that instantly. But maybe that was the whole pseudo-sibling protectiveness? Toby didn't know; he'd never had a sibling.
For just a moment, Toby's eyes flickered to the barrels. He contemplated suggesting they go inside right away, but it was nice and peaceful out in the corridor, in a way that only a school or castle could be so early in the morning with nobody else around. Ella wanted to sit by the fire though, so when she wanted to go in, she'd tap the barrels.
But right now...
"Maybe you'd like to go on a run with me one day? I'm getting way better now, and I can run for much longer than I could last year. And it's really quiet and peaceful and awesome going for a run super early. There's hardly anyone out at this time, and it's good for thinking," Toby said, kind of going on a bit.
"I think you'd like it. Maybe when it's a bit warmer?" It'd be NICE to share that, y'know?
