She was getting impatient and was about to ask again but thankfully Lex spoke again. Cassia listened and processed what she heard. "Things or people?" She quietly asked trying to know more. "What happened? and when?" If it's new then Lex's feelings might still be raw and time might help. The lioness could be in shock right now. Cassia decided to be careful before casting any judgement.

Lex was only slightly conscious of the fact that Cassia had taken to watching her as she sorted through the bits of sugar. She didn't really mind her watching except it was throwing her off a bit. It was a harder to concentrate while you were being watched as you put the things into categories but she did her best to ignore her--not her personally but the fact that she was watching her the way she was.

She stopped sorting altogether at her question. That...that was actually a really good question that forced her to think. Not exactly something she was trying to do right now Cassia but what was done was done. "Things....people....people doing things, yeah, that last one seems the most accurate I guess." Lex's eyes ran along the candy on the floor, mentally going through her alternatives. No chocolate frogs or sugar quills, but she wanted something to munch on now and had left her candy bag up in her dorm with her faithful kneazle guarding it. No one would get any on his watch.

Lex picked up what looked like a simple lollipop...but her bestfriend wasn't one for muggle things....was it not muggle candy? Eh, she wouldn't question it, instead she ripped the wrapper of and stuffed it in her pocket then stuck the sweet in her mouth. "About an hour ago...I dunno if I'm more annoyed or...." She trailed off, not willing to admit to much more. She didn't quite know how to answer the other part so she asked a question instead. One that would hopefully clarify. "Have you ever been doing something but then while doing it, felt like you were doing something wrong and that your close friend is holding something from you then had that friend cast at you for doing what you thought you were meant to be doing the entire time?" If it sounded confusing, it was because it was. Also, this was a nice flavour of watermelon.
