Yup. As Tobias used the rag to wipe off the solution, he saw that it took off a lot of the marks from beneath the solution as well, leaving the suit of armour all shiny and clean underneath. He grinned widely at the realisation that it had worked and that he'd done good, before using the rest of the rag to slowly wipe the rest of the solution away with small circular motions.

SO SHINY.

Now he could focus on making sure the runes around here were clean, and then he'd be all done, and leave the rest of the armour to whoever else wanted to help clean it. The Gryffindors, probably, since this was the one they'd been working with.

Which made it the one that had knocked his stuff off his desk.

Hm.

"I wonder how fun it would be to walk around in one of these suits of armour," Tobias said, with a hint of wistfulness as he spoke. "Not that I could," he added worriedly. "I'm too small."

That was literally the only thing stopping him from trying one on.

He gave a little giggle at the idea of first year Ella trying to provoke the suits into reacting to her, and vaguely wondering how different she'd looked when she'd been a first year. Toby glanced up at her now, only really looking for a second before focusing back on the armour and grabbing yet another clean cloth. Sometimes it just astonished him that people got older and grew up, because he still felt 12, and as though he'd never feel 13, and so would never grow up. But he probably WOULD grow up. Feh.

"Only in your first year?" he asked curiously, still on that train of thought. "Why not after then?"

But anyway, yeah, Tobias smiled again as he positioned the cloth so one layer covered his index finger, and then used that finger to kind of firmly trace the runes carved onto the suit of armour, so as to make sure he would shift any dirt or dust or debris that might be trapped inside the rune. That would make it all bleh and not effective, after all. "I really like doing extra studying and reading ahead. It's way more awesome to sort of know kind of what's going on in lessons instead of being completely lost all the time, and to kind of have a head start. Though it's difficult to concentrate like....... all the time."

Okay, time to use the cleaning spell on top of his manual work, and that should make it a job more or less well done. Tobias chucked the last cloth back into the bucket of them and picked up his wand again.
