Jupiter's Satellite Deep breath. Concentrate. "Lepus Caput" she said clearly, moving her wand in the rainbow shape from left to right. Since the rabbit was petrified, she was unsure if she had actually managed to transfigure it into a hat. Otherwise the rabbit would have stopped squeaking, and she would have known if she succeeded without the daunting task of actually looking at her hat creation.
She peeked open one eye and saw a white blur. She squeezed her eyes shut again. What if it hadn't transformed at all? No, that was ridiculous. Her transfiguration spells always worked to some degree. She opened her eyes a little bit wider this time to see what had actually become of the troublesome rabbit. Well. It was certainly a hat. There was no doubt that what was now sitting on her desk was a hat, albeit a rabbit colored, furry hat. Hey, at least there were no ears! Still, she would have to try again. She didn't get it right the first time. She placed the hat to one side, disappointed, before standing up to get another bunny. This time she would do it right!
