Oh right, his dreamy-self had told them to practice slowing down & stopping objects with Arresto Momentum just like they did in class. Easy enough for her.
She ruffled through her bag for a moment until she pulled out one of her hair clips, immediately tossing it up in the air above her. As it began to make it's decent back towards the redhead below, her wand was in her hand pointing upwards in a matter of seconds. Speaking clearly, "Arresto Momentum!" As it neared closer, it suddenly began to slow down, until it was close enough for the seventh year to grab it with her hand.
Like she thought, easy.
Nicola then scanned the room again until her eyes had settled on a younger looking girl with glasses who, like everyone else, was practicing away. She eyed her for a moment until she called over to her, "Hey, wanna partner up?" She flashed the younger girl a dazzling smile as she waited for a response. In the while of waiting, she rested one of her hands on her hip, not out of impatience or irritation, just force of habit probably.
Still biting down on her lip, Charlie couldn't help but think that it would be so much easier if she had someone to throw the stuff to her. Then she could focus on aiming the
spell and not the object. Her throw sucked, especially seeing as that wasn't the main focus of the exercise and so she wasn't putting one hundred percent into it due to her concentrating on other things.
Like the spell.
Hm. Preparing herself to throw the pencil again, she stopped and spun around at the sound of the voice. Spotting an older girl, whom she was pretty sure was in her house, she motioned at herself questioningly, before making her way over to her.
"Sure, might make this throwing thing a lot easier. "Think fast," she added, before hurling the pencil towards her. Hehe.
