The blonde backed away from the boy and stood again, eyes back on the roster. Her expression was unreadable or at least she hoped it was. She really didn't want to make Forrest feel any worse but she was disappointed.

Forrest frowned and his face fell when she acted so... weird... like someone else. No. He wanted the friendly Ella back! This Ella was scary and--he bit his lip. He didn't feel so clever anymore. He felt like the world's most stupid person. And that included the deceased people too.

would you cheat in try-outs? He couldn't meet her eyes.
