Adelaide noticed the pink pet house, but had no idea he had a pet besides the rock he was obviously missing. Then she spotted the cabinet of the very familiar looking models. "Never thought I'd see those things here. My dad has a ton of them." Yes. Her dad was a closet nerd with a study full of the little models that Professor Flamsteed seemed to like as well. Airey opted to give her two thumbs up as a response rather than talking. He was still very busy chewing on the delicious chocolatey goodness in his mouth. In fact, he had now popped the rest of the brownie into his mouth. He would be needing another one of those ones he got the tea situation all figured out.
"Your father? Really?!" he asked excitedly as he looked at his display case. "Building them has been a hobby of mine ever since I was young. Have always built them the muggle way as well. Never magic." Airey noted a smudge on the glass and quickly removed a handkerchief from his breast pocket to clean it up. There. Perfect. "Your father has good taste, if I do say so myself." Quote:

"Eh... than... i will keep them away from you" said Sonea, not knowing what she could say more about this, she wasn't really the most tactic person so she decided to not say more now!
She was still looking at the wonderful PINK pet house when she turned around to look at the pillow. But than... she frowned. "It is really clean here... I will try to find you pet stone with my rats, but i don't want to give you false hopes..." The third year old looked apologetic at the professor and placed her two rats on her hand and brought her hand closer to the pet house and next toward the pink pillow. Her two rats smelled for a long time but when she placed her two rats on the ground, they didn't started to ran around the office to follow some smells, no, they just sat there and looked up at her. "I'm sorry professor, but you office is too clean for my rats to smell anything." she grabbed her rats and opened her pocket for her rats to hide themselves there. "I hope that you will find you pet" said Sonea disappointed that her rats weren't able to find anything here... Airey was grateful, by the way, about her keeping her four legged furry creatures away from him. He really was. Their beady eyes somewhat frightened him. And those TEETH. The only way they could look more terrifying would be if they were as shiny and white as his two replacements. Then again, the slightly yellow tinge wasn't exactly pleasant either.
And to think he had toyed with the idea of getting himself a rat? Ha.
"That's alright. I appreciate the gesture," he smiled gently at the Slytherin and, yes, even at her rats. Too clean. That did not surprise him at all to be honest. Especially considering how he tended to disinfect things at least once a month. Minus Pebbles' pillow and house. Those went untouched. Logic was telling him that it would be rather difficult for a rock to have a scent distinct enough for, er, rats to pick up. So he was trying his best not to look too disappointed right now. "Take two points, one for each of your rats, for your effort." And out of this world thinking and pet talent.
Which got him curious. "Did you train them to do that? Become great mouse detectives?" SPOILER!!: go there? Oh yeah. I did Quote:

Low luminosity. HAHA! She loves that.
Ice cream conversation was done. FOR ALL ETERNITY.
Hmmmmm, she didn't actually want to say what she had in mind, but she thought of something else, "Well, if you don't want another rock... you could go with wood." LOL! Yes, she was joking, but her voice was so certain, you couldn't possibly tell. She focused on her tea before smiling at Airey. Yes, a piece of wood, even a branch found somewhere in the forest would be a good pet for him, yes? Sorry, not sorry.
Of course Miss Wisteria did. If there was anyone in his classes that he knew would understand the references and astronomical thinking behind things it was her. And his sense of humor - minus black holes and few other critical slip ups.
He chuckled a bit. A stick? Now that was just too out there for him. "Knowing my luck I would have picked up a bowtruckle or a dugbog." And then he would be off sticks forever. Creatures had never been a subject he excelled in. It was almost a metaphor for him and human relations really. Oil and water. Which is why what he was about to say was quite the paradox. "I've been pondering the idea of getting a.....REAL pet."
