Caleb had gotten the nod to go ahead and try again, so he eagerly hopped back in line and waited his turn once more. He was more confident now that he knew he could at least slow it down...and now that he'd done it once, he realized it wasn't THAT scary to do it in front of the professor and was sure he could do it successfully this time.
He finally made his way up to the front, and once again was faced with an incoming water balloon. He braced himself, waved his wand and yelled "Arresto Momentum!" focusing long and hard on the water balloon as it approached.
It slowed, slowed, and slowed...and then finally, about three inches from his face, it stopped. Right there in midair! He was still focusing on the balloon to make sure it didn't drop and get his shoes wet, and he carefully reached out and picked it out of the air like an apple.
"I did it! Thanks Professor," he said with a grin as he returned the water balloon to the man.
