| Baguette | there is no D in my name | TRAITORclaw | Queenie of Narnia Seven? Huh, Penelope hadn't realized there were that many of them...but that was fine. And beside the point. She just wanted to do whatever it was they had to do and then leave. She definitely wasn't intending to stay here all night.
Right, right, failed Arithmancy, disrupted class, etc., etc., they already knew why they were here...
Then suddenly, beards.
Really LONG ones too. Merlin, this was a lot of hair. And it was really itchy. Urgh. Itch itch itch itch. Yeah, she would definitely be leaving the beard-wearing to the boyfriend. These were no fun. And apparently they were supposed to clean the floor with them...and interpret the dribbles of soap and stuff. Interpret how? She wasn't a walking Arithmancy textbook. Hopefully one of the others had those meanings and stuff memorized.
Oh, there was a list. They were supposed to do those all at once or in that order? They were kinda contradictory, so maybe it wasn't all at once...but was there some kinda length for each step? How much they were supposed to say or do before moving on to the next?
Actually...she didn't care. She just wanted this over with, so she'd just wing it and watch what the others did and maybe copy them if it seemed right.
But first things first...she bent down to dunk the ends of her ridiculously long beard into the soapy bucket water. Minerva was already starting and...oh wait. That was what the list meant? That list WAS the interpretations?
...Those were weird interpretations. But Arithmancy stuff was sometimes weird anyway, even before this guy came, so that wasn't new. Anyway.
Dribble dribble dribble... Penelope counted the little dribble spots her beard made on the floor and found there were 11 in total. Which reduced down to two because one plus one equaled two. So...she had to speak in rhymes? Great. "My number is two," she said, "and my beard is not blue." There. A rhyme. And now to work on cleaning the floor.
