Just IMAGINE how much being on a pogo stick would throw of one's opponent in a duel. Or just everyone in general.
And now Airey was getting ideas for future lessons. Not with pogo sticks, because those had little to do with Astronomy, but with moon shoes. Those was a rare muggle artifact, but he had found some in a muggle hobby shop over the holidays.
skdfjskljfsdfssdlfjsdljs Hufflepuff say what?!
"I CAN?!" Airey said - and if he had been a teen his voice would have cracked here with all the excitement. "Can I have a go on it now?" Or, well, maybe not IN his office. He had mecha figurines and other things he did not want to get damaged. But first, he needed to see if Mr. Tempus was willing to part with it for now. "You could teach me how to. Perhaps somewhere on the grounds?"
Please? Before the man started to drool all over his desk like an excited crup.
"Sure can!" No hands. None at all.
Well... he HAD them but if necessary Tobias could pogo sans hands. Sans one hand maybe. But there WERE people who could theoretically do what Airey was suggesting, and Toby's eyes went saucer-like and shiny at the very idea of it. What a wizard, pogo-ing through on his noble steed, shooting spells at enemies.
Airey, man. Airey had VISION.
But before he could comment on ANY of that, more important matters were at hand.
"Yeah! Totally!" ZOMG. POGO-ING WITH THE PROFESSOR. Role reversal. GRASSHOPPER BECOMES THe... erm... teacher? Something like that. WITH REAL GRASSHOPPERS. Or... well not really. BUT CLOSE ENOUGH.
"Outside. On grass." Because, you know, concrete was painful. The pathways was a good idea.
COULDTHEYGONOW?!
Tobias was right on the edge of his seat, ready to MOVE. GOSH. BOUNCING.
