He closed his eyes, both trying not to get hair in his eyes and trying not to imagine how model-like the girl probably looked right now. But then she was laughing and he felt something soft slide away from his face, making him open his eyes again. What? Huh? Something was happening?
... Oh right. The mattress slide. THEY WERE GOING DOWN! ... Erm... erm... Thinking about the technique Tag had used on his own mattress slide down the slope, Alec turned to Ells, grinning. He disentangled himself from her and stood up on the mattress with some difficulty. "SURF'S UP!" Arms out on either side, knees bent, a wide grin spread across his face. This was the BEST way to mattress surf!
Super duper major frowning happening right here. Ella stopped the pouting and pulled up the hood of her elephant onesie instead, hiding her face and hair. There, now Alec didn't have to worry about it. And nope, she totally wasn't being a big old
elephant baby about this. NO WAY. Maybe she was just cold. Maybe.
Hellooooooo. Earth to boyfriend! Ella didn't know what he was doing as she was in front of him but she
did know that he wasn't helping her feel less scared and he definitely wasn't showing her his expert mattress sliding skills. Oh but then he was grinning at her and she figured it was because he wasn't, y'know, blinded by the hair anymore but she was wrong.
Suddenly he was moving which caused Ella to flop over on to her side, eyebrows raised. What in Merlin's beard? He was...surfing? And he was smiling and clearly enjoying himself which was nice but um...girlfriend barely clinging to the mattress here.
Maybe...Tag and Alec should have just gone down together. Maybe.
