"Sharpies? What is sharpies, misses?" Argyle asked curiously, but continued to dust. The darling studentsies were still talking to her, so with a snap of her fingers the rags began dusting the portraits on their own. It didn't do quite as good a job as the manual labor Argyle loved so much but she could always go over them a second time.
Once the elf's full attention was the studentsies, she finally realised exactly what they were doing. Her eyes went wide and suddenly filled with tears as Argyle grasped at her ears in distress. "Oh bad Argyle! Bad Argyle left the portraits for too long! Argyle let the portraits get so dirty the studentsies thought they were for drawings!" she wailed in despair. "You mustn't do that, misses! Argyle will clean them, she will! Right away! Argyle is sorry she waited so long." |
