Stellar! Stellar inDEED! Toby's smile widened to a grin. "Awesome." AWESOME. Though stellar was a way better word. Tobias mulled over that as he took a sip of tea, much more cautious than last time.

And THEN Airey brought the subject around to one of Toby's SPECIALTIES. POGO.

His features positively lit up as he looked at the muggle contraption and held it slightly out from himself with one hand. All the better to SEE it.

"This is a pogo-stick, Professor Airey!" Tobias said excitedly. It was all he could do not to bounce in his seat. But... you know... hot tea. "I dunno if wizards have them, but it's a muggle thing. People call them toys, but they aren't just toys." Like his skateboard. SO NOT A TOY. They were both a method of transportation AND a sport. "The part down there that's on my foot? Well, that's the only part that touches the ground. You put your feet on these... foot... holdy... parts-" shhhhhhhhhh, technical term "-and hold the handle at the top and then..." (Tobias paused for dramatic effect here because it was totally necessary) "... you bounce!"

He grinned and grinned and sipped more tea and grinned. "It's not easy at first, but it just takes practice. Did you-" don'tlaughdon'tlaughdon'tlaugh "-want a go?"

You had him at the word mugggle, Mr. Tempus.

Airey's undivided attention was no longer on the Hufflepuff but one the thing called a pogo stick. Pogo, well, wasn't that just a silly sounded term and rolled off the tongue nicely? "And what exactly is the function of this pogo stick?" he asked, too excited about the muggle contraption to allow the boy to finish his explanation. But when he did, Airey was far from disappointed. "You...BOUNCE? Wow, now isn't this a useful little device! Can you use it to bounce a bit higher to reach things just out of reach?" he asked. Not that Airey every really had a problem with this, being tall AND a wizard. But it was the muggles he was thinking of.

Not to mention how this was the PERFECT thing for the likes of him who preferred movement as opposed to being stationary. Why, if he had one of these he could BOUNCE to every meal instead of boring old walking. This. Was. Bloody. Brilliant.

"Do I want a go?" Airey asked, his eyes sparkling like a kid in a Honeydukes being told they could have anything and everything they wanted. "Blazing comets YES! CAN I?!"

At least now, today, not yesterday. But that was the past, yes?

"I think so. I love them." She smiled, rather sweetly too, she really did love her family, and her grandfather had helped her pack, with magic, because her mind hadn't been in the right place for packing back then. Things happen that make you distracted, right Airey? The girl took more bites out of the muffin before speaking up again, "I guess you'll have two Wisterias from now on." Nothing to fear, her brother isn't as talkative as she is.

Aaaanyway, drinking some tea now, "I thought of you over the summer, by the way," she said, casually, and drank more tea, "Did you go anywhere exciting?" Or not? Eyes on you, Airey.
Airey was relaxing a bit - the tea and especially the muffin were helping - and a wider smile spread across his face. "I consider myself lucky then," he nodded, sipping some more on his tea at the two Wisteria's comment. "Your brother has a lot to live up to." Which was meant to be a compliment to Miss Wisteria. She was one of his brightest students.

Airey set his cup down and proceeded to eat away at what was left his muffin. Perhaps he would head down to the Great Hall after this for some sausage and egg...with a side of beans on toast. And some coffee. He had several rather, erm, unique flavors he had been wanting to try that he had purchased at a wizarding coffee shop over the summer. Strangest had to be this taco flavored one. It was...yes. Odd.

"Oh?" Airey chuckled. "Not so much this summer, not or pleasure at least. I had some Astronomer Royal work that took me to other places in Europe, but did not have enough time for sightseeing I'm afraid." He had mostly spent the summer trying to get over the guilt he felt about the ice cream for last term and how helpless he had been to prevent or protect his students. "What about you, Miss Wisteria? Good summer I hoped. Refreshed and recovered from last term?"
