Did he
want to elaborate? No. He really didn't. What if he said something stupid because he didn't know all the official words? He was good at putting pieces together, but he wasn't good at recall. West was way better at recall.
But he'd try, anyway. "When a star, like our sun, is created out of that big star cloud... erm... the solar nebula, the leftover cloud of
stuff is just spinning there in the gravity of the forming star. And then through the process of..." He wrinkled his nose, trying to recall the word. "Accretion, tiny grains of dust slowly build mass over ages and ages to become planets. So you see..." Did he see? Did anyone see? "Planets are dependent on stars to be created, but the opposite is not true." Whew. The end.

"Now, as it was mentioned, there are billions upon billions of stars in the sky, but we will be discussing the one that is closest to earth...which is............WHAT?!" He looked around expectantly for the answer to be shouted out immediately.
OOC: this took me a lot longer to type up than I thought
SO SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY! Class will resume as soon as I wake up ... hopefully, so in about 8 - 9 hours.
Okay, so everyone knew the answer to this one, right? Right.
But also... "Professor Flamsteed? Is it true the official name of our sun is Sol?"

There are actually several things in here that we will be using in today's lesson, but the first iiiiiiiiiiiiiis," and he reached into the bag and pulled out a large white round object with a colorful speckled design on it. "Can anyone tell me what this is?"
OOC: class will resume in...a few hours
And also also... that there wasn't a star OR a planet.
"That's candy."
