Huxley folded her legs beside her, the old habit of shirking away from peers starting to creep in. So that was Charlie and the older blond was Nerida. Acknowledging look to them both. And given how the ginger didn’t say her name the brunette was about to take it as an excuse to not have to give hers either. Until Charlie trailed off. Awkward silence. “Justcallmehuxley.”

She wanted to shrink behind the quilt of her bed bracing for a snide remark or a cruel joke when something caught her eye. “That cat. Its blue.” Blink.

Nerida gave a grin as she heard the brown haired girls response. She came in with the train...Hadn't they all...Unless they were in Hogsmeade right? She had a cute response though which probably meant she was shy. Nothing friendliness cant fix! "Huxley, what a cool name. Its wonderful to meet you," she said as she extended her hand for a shake.

Looking down at Sky she giggled, "Yes it is!! Sky meet Huxley and Charlie...And I think you have met Eliza but if not meet Eliza." pointing the cat towards each as she introduced it to them. Hopefully the cat would be friendly and not lazy when she introduced her.

Because she was a total cat person, and Sky was almost as cool and cute as her own Bombay. But Lightning beat her to it, obviously. Hehe.

Eliza was glad someone had prompted them all to share their names, because she was pretty bad with introductions sometimes. It just seemed to slip her mind, you know? She smiled warmly at the brunette and said with vigor, "Wow, Huxley? I'm with Nerida on that one - that's a really cool name!" Really, she thought it was pretty edgy and modern and go-get-em sounding. She liked it a lot. So much in fact, she wondered if it would be weird for her to name a pet with that name at some point... Not that she'd think of Huxley as a pet whenever she talked to this hypothetical animal but, it was just snazzy. ...Food for thought.

She was also relieved to learn the train girl's name was Charlie, cause she had been so sleepy, she wasn't entirely sure if she knew it or not. "Well it's good to properly meet now!" she remarked brightly. This whole meeting new people and actually getting along with them, so far, was keeping Eliza's spirits up, up, up. "So yep, I'm Eliza, as you know now. And I'm a fourth year too," she elaborated with a nod.

Hugging Nerida back, Eliza grinned with delight. "I'm glad your summer was so good! And remodeling sounds nice though, even if you couldn't go upstairs. Do you like how it turned out?" She asked because, ever since coming to Hogwarts, she'd developed a new appreciation for architecture and room designs, something she'd sort of taken for granted before. It was after Huxley's comment that she noticed Nerida's cat, Sky, was here as well. After Nerida did her kitty introductions, Eliza knelt to let the blue cat sniff her hand before trying to pet her. "Oh, I'm so glad you found her, Nerida! Last I knew, she had run off somewhere." She turned back to Sky and talked softly, yet sternly to her. "Now you don't do that again this year okay, Sky? You had us worried!" If Sky was anything like Eliza's owl, Luna, though...she would do whatever she wanted to regardless of what any human or animal said.

And Charlie had a cat too?! Eliza was beyond excited. She had wanted a cat for school but still hadn't felt it was the right time to have one. She had several pets at home and just didn't think it would be fair to them to add yet another fuzzy friend. "It looks like we'll be the cat house instead of the eagle house this year," she joked as she went to pet Lightning. "Do you think they'll let other people pet and cuddle them sometimes? Like if we're in the dorm and you're out on the grounds somewhere?" She hoped so, because sometimes she did get a little homesick and having a cat to pet would be a nice comfort. Her owl wasn't too fond of snuggling.
