Best not make things awkward.

"Oh, you're no bother," Melanie smiled at the girl. She put her quill in her inkwell to show that she was finished with whatever she was working on...for now, at least, and that the student had her undivided attention.

Adrienne Colbert. "Nice to meet you, Adrienne. Thank you very much." It was more of a welcome back, but she understood her point. "That's very kind of you."

The toad, however..."No, thank you. You can take anything you want from that bowl over there, though." Professor Roman pointed to the sweet bowl by the couch. She wasn't going to take candy off of students. However, she was fine with her students leaving her office with their pockets heavier or energy higher.
