LOOKIT, there was a KAT! Ariana didn't see her anywhere before now and her eyes immediately flew to her chest.... the badge ON her chest y'know. "SEE!" she said pointing across the table at her "i told you it was your's, you totally deserve it y'know." She said the last part beaming, Ariana was so excited for her friend when she texted her all in a frenzy about it a few weeks ago, but ariana knew that her dorm mate was head girl material, she just knew it. West for one looked calm, and in a better mood, or at least on the surface. And he noticed the silverware right away and if that meant proper Hogwarts food, well at least there was something going right. "Oh man. A real feast. Finally." He said to Theo as they reached the snake table. "I gotta go over to the Ravenclaw table at some point. Wanna see Blue." And y'know. The others. And also he could see his girlfriend over there. And Theo's. And also Vesper. Huh. Well, that wasn't any particular shock he supposed. The tall boy headed to their regular seats and sat, glad to have Theo right there with him.
Food though. Hopefully the speech thing would be fast and nobody would expect to have to lengthy of a conversation with him. He could act the part as if he was completely blase about things, but it didn't mean he wanted to test his own patience either. "Hey guys." As in, y'know. Everyone. Walking into the Great Hall, he rubbed his eyes red from his exhaustion and slipped into the seat next to Derry at the Slytherin Table. His best friend got a nod, however, he was preoccupied now with the gnawing at his stomach. They needed to feed him. Now. S'not cool to just leave an Ascanius hungry, especially after a long day.
Finally piping up with a lazy smirk, he asked to no one in particular, "When are they feeding us, yeah?" His girlfriend would have been so proud of his impatience with the food. Maybe he'd tell her later. If she wasn't still mad at him for stalking off on the platform. Quote:

To just strut down this hall with his chest puffed out like he owned the place, because he kinda did own some of the place. He tried to tone it down a little because of West reasons, though. "You gonna come over there with me too?" Not right then, but y'know. There were people over there. Important people. "I should congratulate Vesper on her sorting and stuff." Speaking of which, where was that Olly girl whom he had rescued in Diagon from the creepy stinky old hag lady? West scanned the tables and his eyes picked her out at Hufflepuff. Hahah. Okay. Well he supposed she could get a congratulations as well.
Meanwhile at his own table and in the general vicinity, Cat, Derry aaaaand seventh year girls. Hiiiiiiii girls. Team mates. Girls. He smiled at Sky and Ari over there, and Katrina of course, and a quick one for Derry, a solemn wink for Cat and then back to eyeing up his plate and keeping an ear out for the speech thing. Food. C'mon. Lets get this feast thing over with and his belly full.
Oh and, he gave Theo a gentle nudge. "Me and Ascanius figured out where we should maybe throw that party we were talking 'bout and all. We should start planning stuff later. In the dorm." The dorm was good. Their dorm. Boys dorm. Private. No distractions from girl people, except in special circumstances.
Mid Kissing blowing suddenly there were voices and ariana knew those voices, boy voices. she looked over and saw Odessa and Ascanius and Kinsley, and ohh LOOKIT, Kinsley had a THING. "you have a thing." she said eyeing his badge yup she was proud, Theo deserved it, he was a good kid yup! "congratulations on it." and stuff you know. "usually after we starve for about an hour." she said to Ascanius,didn't he know he was here last term, but over the years ariana concluded that it was usually an hour from the time they got in here till the speech and food and stuff. Really though she just wanted that good yummeh food again, although she wasn't particularly hungry tonight he still wanted to at least SEE the good yummeh food.
Tall!Odessa was there too and Ariana gave him a waaave, one wouldnt guess how close the two were really. it was a thing for them to get together and talk about things, no one really was aware of it though it wasnt like it was something to be announced.speaking of which she had things she needed to talk to him about, later, not now, not in front of others. Walking over to the Slytherin house, she saw that many of her house-mates have already gotten there. She stood at one end of the table seeing the faces clearer now.Every singly one. HAI! She pondered where to sit, THEY ALL WERE HER FRIENDS. She slid into a seat in the middle of everyone so she could talk to all and not miss a single convo. annoying, huh
But hey, she hadn't seen West at the train or station. The very tall boy received a grin. He and Theo seemed to be caught up in something, she never interrupted. lies " T'sup, guys?!" Terror twins! HEY! Though she had been writing to both of them and vice versa she missed seeing them.
And lookit! Kat and Ariana, her mentors favorite seventh-years who were going to stay here forever with her and never leave her, mhhm. " Hey, ladies!" Looking good!
Fellow snakettes! Derry and Cat! She hadn't seen Derry on the train. " How's it going," She beamed at them. Was it obvious that she was excited? Probably. " Do you think our dorm is nicer and more luxurious? " BIG question here!
The snake still hadn't looked down at the table properly, mind you she was too busy talking. But she did hearing Ascanius' question. She looked down and nodded approvingly at the non-plastic silverware. That's a good sign. Woot. " Let's only hope it's worth the real silverware." She answered the fellow fifth-year bringing a fork and a spoon together making a riiiiiiiiiing voice.
Also, there was a new girl! Cassia smiled at her.
This one though, Miss Somerlad was CRAZY, above all else, she was loud and insane and gave Ariana a headache on ost days but she was alright, ariana could see how she looked up to her, though she didn't understand why. She'd decided she was going to document her year with drawings, so she figured now would be a good time to start... "it didn't dont worry." cause t never DID make a mistake, specially not with the slytherins and if it did she would have some WORDS for that hat, WORDS mkay. So the new girl had nothing to worry about.. unless she was ike a hufflepuff or a ravenclaw and totally NOT a snake, well then, this would be fun.
So many people to see, so many things to do, Ariana was excited. Coming into this feast she almost expected it to be a bit sad, you know last incoming feast and all for her and her fellow seventh years but t wasn't the energy was high and happy and the complete opposite of last term and it made her smile, something the girl rarely did now a days
