So they were opposites in that sense it seemed.
"You'd be surprised what you're capable of... especially being a mother." No. Emily was not a mother, but she knew that mothers would do anything for their children, thus making them capable of doing all sorts, making them wildcards.
Emily shrugged. "Don't feel bad... it may be nothing, or it may be something... but at any rate, it's better to have said something to someone than said nothing at all." It was one of those things people didn't understand. Azazel may just be a strange person, and if that was the case, no harm done... but if there was something wrong with what he was doing, then it was a good thing it'd been mentioned.
"We could make a habit of it," Emily agreed... cause she loved coffee breaks too, and it was a good way to get to know people. Merlin knew she was short on friends. Emily took the sugar Victoria pushed toward her, adding it to her cup. "Nope... I usually rely on my YATI to keep me supplied throughout the day." Which was both a good thing and a bad thing.
Victoria listened as she got her coffee and faintly thought about a little snack before heading back to her desk. Emily was right people didn't have to like the same things and how boring it would be if they did, but her next comment made Vic stop and think for a moment.
"You are very right. I could see myself doing more towards someone if my son was involved. I really hadn't thought of it before, but there isn't anything I wouldn't do for him. Especially if it would me protecting him." Hence why she was letting him move back with his father and not go to Hogwarts this term after she had heard the rumors of what went on by a few of her coworkers that had children.
"Do you have any children Emily?" She had been talking to her for a little while now and really didn't know that much about her.
Hmm maybe a muffin would go well with the coffee..
"Well for his sake I hope he's just an odd cookie that thinks charming women and joking about being nosy is part of his horrible pick up lines. " Not that she ever really thought anyone was picking her up. Until Charely started talking to her she really thought most guys looked right past.
A smile crossed Victoria's face. It would be nice to gain another friend at the ministry.
"I'm usually easy to find up here so anytime you want a coffee break come on up." Plus any reason for a quick break and be near the coffee cart in case a certain Gobstone Admin would need coffee at the same sounded perfect to Victoria.
