I don't do well when things get heated, I usually was the quiet one when I was younger." The shy one should never be in that position.
As she lead the way to the coffee Victoria laughed at Emily's comment, "A cell might do for him." She chuckled more only joking of course, but her chuckling stopped for her to really think about her answer now. "Well I wouldn't say interrogating me. He just wanted to know about the ministry, but not the average new comer information. Like after his complements and stuff he jokingly asked if I knew any dirt on anyone here." She eyed Emily to see what her response would be. "I just shrugged it off as his sense of humor, but it was odd."
As for the coffee Vic thought for a few moments once she was standing in front, "Hazel nut maybe, but I do mine usually just plain with some sugar." She stopped to let Emily see what was available. Oh.
Priceless!
Emily was amused, ever so greatly amused. Pretty strong? Emily chuckled, "I wouldn't be in my current position if I wansn't." Truth. She not only had to be strong enough for the dangers of her work, but she had to be strong in every way in which she conducted herself at work. She was a leader now, not just of the YATI sort, so, there were expectations and shoes to fill. Strong shoes to fill. However, she didn't agree with where Victoria was leading the conversation. "On the contrary, it's the quiet ones that are sometimes the strongest. You don't need to be big and loud to be strong." Emily was hardly that. She could act it, but she preferred to observe in silence and strike unexpectedly.
Oh good, she took it as a joke. Or not? She'd stopped laughing. Emily listened, an eyebrow arched curiously. Asking for dirt on people was not normal newbie behaviour. "Definitely odd... I'm glad you told me." Now she could keep an eye and ear out in the office. Just... because.
And now for the good stuff.
Emily oggled the coffee selection, her gaze scanning over their labels. Honestly, she probably couldn't make up her mind, or more to the point she'd make up her mind to have every single one. Was that possible? Combine it all into one EPIC coffee? ... No. Well yes, but no. "Hazelnut sounds good, double shot of course, one sugar," she declared, grabbing herself one of the cuppy things.
