Yeah. No. Emily did not approve. There was a fine line between having an ego and flirting, to being a complete suck up. “Thanks for the tip... I’ll be sure to keep a holding cell free for just that reason.” She wasn’t going to put up with crap like that. Call it harassment or insubordination, it didn’t matter, she didn’t want to hear those soppy words repeated to her. “Before asking questions?” Emily echoed, “…what? Was he interrogating you?” Real smooth.
Emily had followed in step with Victoria, she could even SMELL the coffee now, and it was GOOD. Flavours? They had the fancy pants stuff too? Unbelievable!
“So that makes you an expert, which would you recommend?” she asked as they neared the cart.
Cut throat that just sounded harsh. Victoria looked at Emily in shock a bit at her wording. She knew right there she would never have survived as law enforcement. They would have eaten her up and spit her out quickly.
"Well you must be a pretty strong woman to deal with that stuff. I could never do it. I don't do well when things get heated, I usually was the quiet one when I was younger." The shy one should never be in that position.
As she lead the way to the coffee Victoria laughed at Emily's comment,
"A cell might do for him." She chuckled more only joking of course, but her chuckling stopped for her to really think about her answer now.
"Well I wouldn't say interrogating me. He just wanted to know about the ministry, but not the average new comer information. Like after his complements and stuff he jokingly asked if I knew any dirt on anyone here." She eyed Emily to see what her response would be.
"I just shrugged it off as his sense of humor, but it was odd."
As for the coffee Vic thought for a few moments once she was standing in front,
"Hazel nut maybe, but I do mine usually just plain with some sugar." She stopped to let Emily see what was available.
