did see right through his cover-up and the sixteen year old frowned slightly, head tilted to the side.
"Down at the...what?" He could tell her, yeah? At least she hoped he could. She was really curious now.
Ella leaned against him, cuddling close. Alec was warm and cozy and
there, that was the best part. She always felt better when he was around.
"Anytime." As for the gummy worm thing, she shrugged.
"Tobias gave me some to hold me over so I think I'm okay for now." Great kid, Tobias was.
"Thank you, though." Really.
The blonde badger nodded, looking up at Alec as he spoke.
"I know. I just...it's hard." She whispered, eyes locked on his. He got that, right?
"Ellaphants never forget?" And she cracked a faint smile, wrapping her arms around him in a side-hug.
"I'm okay. And...hugsalwayshelp." Especially Alec's hugs. Those were the best.
