Bentley would definitely appreciate the variety of plants there, wouldn't she?
If she didn't, they could just deny that was their work. She had it all planned out.
Lugging along a bucket full of gardening equipment, she accompanied Mo to the Lake. They'd find different kind of flowery stuff in the grass, right? Or at the bases of trees? "I call dibs on this half of the area," Alice announced, once she'd evaluated which side of the space would probably have more plants.
She tugged a hand trowel out of her bucket and located a patch of flowers before starting. No harming the itty bitty blossoms, right? Her Herbology professor sure wouldn't approve of that.
"You can't call dibs," Mo protested, but it was a weak sort of protest. Obviously Alices could do as they pleased, and this particular Alice was a dibs-caller. He'd have to remember that if they did a project together again next term. Mo picked up his supplies and moved away from Alice, toward the area she'd indicated.
It didn't seem very active, this digging up business. Just bending and digging and putting stuff right and then standing up and then walking a few feet to do it all again. But it wasn't proper exercise, like the running Mo did most days or playing Quidditch.
"Are you sure this is properly active?" he stooped and began to pull out handfuls of weeds from around a tiny shrubbery that had branched off a bigger shrub. If he could clear it out, Mo would replant the shrubbery by that bench he liked in the student garden.
