SS 25: Elinor Danvers
This collection of flashbacks for my Ministry character are my own creation,
otherwise the world of Harry Potter belongs entirely to J.K. Rowling. They
are happy and sad moments, about her and the people close to her, but each
one is significant to her life in one way or another. They are insights into why
she is who she is, why she thinks how she thinks, and why she does what she
does. Since the character of Nigel Garretson weighs heavily on these
moments, I would like to thank S.S. member Macavity for doing
more for Elinor than I ever could have. I could never take credit for owning
such an ingenious character as Mr. Garrettson, and I would like to make that plain.

He would never love her. How could he? Why should he? She
had allowed herself to fall for him, something she should not
have let happen.
The silence pressed in on her as she stared down at the little
piece of blank parchment laid out on the table. A crazy notion
had come over her to invite him to see her. Now she was not
so sure.
She couldn't ignore it anymore. She had the choice to shut it
out, shut him out, or to try, no matter how frightened she was
of failing.
Elinor slowly reached for the quill.
