Hadn't she cried enough in the last month, but at least this time it was happy reasons. She hadn't felt any connection in six years to her mom and all along she was sitting in a little case. "She was a beater too." Well she figured he saw that, but she had to repeat it. "It's on two different trophies, two different years." She pointed at the other one.

"I just can't believe I found them." She stood facing the glass looking at the name still in a bit of shock over it. She was in aww more than anything. "She hated muggle sports, I figured she hated all sports. She always wanted me to dance, not play sports." Then she shook her head and laughed. "Probably thought I would get less hurt. Wonder if she ever got a bad concussion." She half wondered if her mom would be upset she played beater. She glanced at the trophies on the other side that Ethan had glanced at. "Is Mariel on those ones? What about your parents, did they play?" She was curious about all of it now. Turning she looked at her mom's name again.
Ethan smiled even wider at Minerva's excitement. He was so happy that she had found this memento of her mother's, a small link to her past.. he had an idea of how much this might have meant to her. "That's so amazing, Min," he said and wrapped her up in a hug. "She was a beater?" He released her and peered back into the cabinet again. There it was, right beside her name.. he had been so focused on the name, he didn't notice the position. "You must really take after her then.." he mused aloud, looking back at her and smiling. "I'm really glad that you found this.." It must mean so much to her to find her mother's name on something so closely linked to herself when she knew so very little about her mother's magical past.

Ethan looked back into the display case, his eyes alternating between the two trophies she had pointed out. "It's just really amazing that you did.. and that she played the same position as you." He couldn't imagine what she was feeling right now.. maybe imagining her mother in a game. No wonder she was so excited. Though he did find it rather odd that she hadn't wanted Min to play in any sports, maybe she had gotten injured and didn't want her suffering the same fate. He shuddered at the recent memory.

"Yeah, she's on three that I saw," he said, pointing out the trophies he had seen with his aunt's name on them. "My dad played," he said, turning back to her. "But he didn't go to school here.. he has a couple at Beauxbatons though," he added with a small smile, figuring she got so lost in the excitement she wouldn't have thought of that. He had seen those trophies his first year there. "As for my mum.." Ethan wandered over to the past Slytherin awards. "She wasn't much of an athlete, though I do think she was a reserve at one point." She had only maybe mentioned it once or twice in passing as the sport wasn't really her thing, and he really didn't think it all that likely for her name to be here.
