Okay so there were only three house elves, but he didn't really feel uncomfortable noticing that because he had never seen the pre-broke Hogwarts era. He shrugged to himself, though he was sensitive enough to feel sorry for them. He kept silent for a while as he tried to spot something delicious to stuff into their mouth but Hogwarts did look broke.

"I dunno," he admitted after surveying the whole area with his eyes, and shrugged to double the effect. "Reckon we should ask them?" He nodded towards the three house elves with his head as his smile had vanished completely and was replaced with incertainty.
