Eliza softened her face and gave the professor a small smile in return as she clarified what she had meant by "personal gain." She wasn't sure how the treatment would go for that sort of memory loss either, but she thought it would be worth a try.
And did she have questions? Well, always! She raised her hand to ask another that was sort of like an extension of her first question. "Professor, has anyone ever had their minds stuck together from going at the legilimency and occlumency thing for too long? Like they were both trying so hard to impose ideas or images into each others' heads - one to invade the other, and the other to protect themselves - that they got into a mind tangle?" Like a mind meld gone wrong or something you know? She would have said that part out loud had she been in Astronomy, since she knew Airey liked things like that. She hoped Romanos would know what she was trying to say though. It seemed plausible to her that it had happened. How awful that would be! How would it ever be undone? Maybe once they fell asleep their minds would relax and remove themselves from each other? Like putting conditioner in tangled hair? She waited patiently to hear this answer, cause it seemed important to know.
