There was nothing like the sound of terribly loud explosions to wake you up on a saturday morning. Only the most important things could get her out of bed at such an early hour (just ask Lottie).

This was the only available time though. Once it got to being later people would start flocking to the lake wanting to look out or find the Giant Squid or something else that would no doubt distract them in such a way that they would get themselves blown up. Once that happened you'd hear that it was her fault instead of the idiot who refused to watch where he was going.

Still, 7 wasn't all that early. Not early enough to make the explosions prettiful. Maybe she should have asked Nigel to meet her a bit earlier? Something to keep in mind.

She watched the pile of rubble, just useless things she'd found around the castle, while she waited on him to get there. Already she was anticipating the BOOM.
