Ronnie was a bit surprised when Jory turned his head, but then she smiled as their lips touched. When he pulled away doing his adorable grin, she chuckled. Wasn't he just plain cute?!
Ronnie quickened her pace, glancing behind her to check how far Jory was when she didn't see him. Where was he? Oh, Merlin...he was going to come out of nowhere and surprise her. She just could feel it. And then, as if on cue, he had his arms around her waist and they were tumbling into the snow. She sat up, bursting with laughter. "Okay....n-now...you... you better run before I....get you!" she panted.
Jory continued to laugh.
"You weren't hurt by that rock, were you?'' he asked full of concern.
"Nor when I grabbed you?'' he added as an after thought. He would feel totally miserable if he caused his Ronnie any hurt.
"Okay!'' The Puffer leapt to his feet.
"Come on, then!'' He sped off back in the direction from which they had come, but not turning back to see if Ronnie was following him. Looking back could slow him down and he wanted to go as long as possible without being tagged.
