"I still think it's true.." he said, before leaning down even closer, pausing for a moment before lightly brushing his lips across her cheek. "Back to dinner for now," he whispered near her ear then turned to return to his cooking.
Now that he had completely lost his focus on cooking, he turned his green eyes back to the instructions on the parchment. Where was he? It took him a minute to find his place.. oh right. Ethan began folding up the dough to create little pockets or something like that for the meat and looked up at Min. "Yes.. I would love another lesson.." He thought it over as he put the tray of food in the oven. "Oh.. I don't know.. maybe something you're especially good at?" That might be easiest, he thought.. and nothing specific was coming to mind anyway.
Once the food was in the oven, he glanced at his watch, then joined Minerva at the seat near the counter. "No, I don't have it finished yet," he said regarding the application with a small frown. "I still have a few weeks to get it in, but I should probably owl it soon.." It was true that he had been putting it off.. and he wasn't sure exactly why, maybe he just didn't want to think about it right now.. but he knew that deadline was starting to loom on the horizon. Pushing those thoughts out of his head for know, he looked back up at Min and shrugged. "Well, I don't know.. I mean, the way you're teaching me is working, I think.. unless you want to learn the cooking charms together?" Either way was fine with him, really. He'd still get his cooking lesson no matter what the method.
Minerva bite her lip as he stood so close. Her mind going a mile a minute in a few different directions.
“umm.. wait.. what about before?” She had completely forgotten what they were talking about, all she knew was he was standing very close and was staring into her eyes. She then felt her cheeks turn and she smiled as he turned back to dinner. Taking a deep breath she tried to focus on what was being said again, oh right making her nervous, she chuckled a bit. [b] “I would say you can still do that at times.” She watched as he continued to cook seriously he could have at least kissed her cheek not teased her like that, she gave a small pout, but than smiled at her own pouting.
So he wasn’t all focused either,
“By the looks of it, I still can make you forget things as well… Good to know.” She half wondered if they were together five years from now could they still do this to each other. She hoped so, because she didn’t want him to ever get bored with her. Looking up as he spoke she had to think about what he was saying, she had let her mind wonder too much out of the conversation. Lesson? Oh cooking, right..
“Sure anytime you want to cook I am more than willing to play teacher.” She loved cooking, so it wasn’t something that was hard for her to do. Plus cooking together was always fun.
“I don’t care to really learn the charms, I mean I guess I could, but the way I cook is the way mom taught me. Learning something different is like losing her again, I’ve lost enough of her.” She wondered if that even made sense.
Taking a deep breath and putting a happy face on she knew it was only a matter of time before this stuff was going to start coming up all the time and she couldn’t act sad about it.. NO that wasn’t nice nor was it fair to him. It was his future and she had to just deal with the fact he wasn’t going to be there next term.
“Well maybe tonight once we are done here you should get it finished and send it while it’s fresh in your brain. I don’t want you missing the deadline.” No that wouldn’t be good.
“Plus it will be exciting, a new adventure and you will be studying all your fun plants you love so much.” See positive stuff. She could be positive and supportive even if it felt like she was going to just die next term without him around.
