Ariana was being cute, of course...and semi-scolding her, Marilyn realized. "I could have owl'd...I apologize for that...but Isis upsets Olivia." It was hard to tell what had gotten into the owl lately, but she and her daughter just did not get along. Livy threw fits at the mere sight of the black bird.

"I'm sure there's much to talk about..." She nodded some. "...Oh, quidditch." Marilyn hadn't been on a broom in years...and she'd have been lying if she said she didn't miss it terribly. "Good to see Slytherin still puts strong women on the team. Hopefully your Captain treats you well."...and doesn't make you wear feathered uniforms. She might have visibly cringed just at the memory...."....That reminds me. I need to go speak with Professor Lafay..." It'd been too long and she missed her former Head of House terribly...It could wait, though. They had plenty of time to talk and catch up.

"You're a pretty girl. Of course you have a boyfriend." The boys around school weren't blind, were they? She'd have been shocked if Ariana didn't have a boyfriend..."...and I trust he's kind to you, too."...because if he wasn't, they could fix that. It'd been years...but Marilyn was still as protective as she'd always been. No one needed to forget that fact, either.
