After a few minutes of squirming- not TOO many, though, because Alice was an excellent climber, see?- her chin hit the floor, and then the rest of her finally appeared on the first level of the tree house.

Narrowly avoiding a missing board (was the school ever going to fix that? Where were those knuts from the turnstiles going, hmm, Truebridge?), she crawled over to the window and glanced outside. Last time she was up here, there had been cake. And tea. And a Cactus. This time, though, it was just her, wasn't it? Alice took another look around before noticing a girl over by the corner, reading. So not just her.

"Charms? Really? If you're going to read school stuff, at least choose an interesting textbook, like Runes or something."
