Ethan grinned at the kiss on the cheek and chuckled a bit at her words. "You know I won't be making it very far without my cup of coffee," he said with a wink as he finished the last of it. Might as well go back to bed for another hour without his daily caffeine or else he'd really be dragging.. maybe falling asleep in class. Professors ought to be thankful that he took precautions against that every day.

He set his empty cup aside then peered into the one with the leaves. Interesting.. he took note of the shapes, then looked up at Min. "Stubborn? You?" He laughed a bit. "I never would have guessed.." Still chuckling, he opened up his textbook to come to understanding about what his shapes might mean. The first shape near the rim looked something like a boat. Reading over the passage, he saw that it talked of a voyage of discovery and that it may bring material benefits. "Hmm.. interesting," he said aloud as he jotted down his notes. It was a symbol that was supposed to be about the present.. so maybe he'd discover something valuable in the next day or so?

He flipped the page again to look up cat as it seemed to be a feline shape present in the middle of his cup. According to the text, a cat shape meant good fortune and comfort at home. He couldn't help but smile. That was a good reading, right? And middle of the cup meant near future.. so Christmas.. and he liked hearing that he would have a good time at home during his break.

And now the shape he saw in the bottom of his cup. He couldn't help but think that it looked something like a vine of ivy. Huh. Ethan flipped to that page in his book and read, unable to stop the smile from growing on his face. The book said that ivy is a promise that friends and lovers will be true. That was good, right? He certainly thought so. After scribbling down his notes, he glanced up at Min, wanting to catch her before she left. "On your way to class? I can walk with you if you want.."
